Loose plates in floral patterned cloth-backed portfolio boards with title illustration pasted-on front and original ties. VG-/VG- Lacking 1 plate (#31), mounting stock has general chipping to all sides as is common with this edition. The portfolio spine was split and has been nicely repaired using reversible methods, as a result the original floral patterned cloth has been largely preserved. The boards are further protected with a mylar overwrap, corner chip on title plate. The original classic collection of Jean Pillement's 18th-century designs using flowers, birds and figures, each plate contains 4 examples of illustrations. Very nice copy.
